Our Story

Let's look behind the making and the thought process of this incredible metal art company.

Born and raised in South Mumbai, Mr. Khuzema, whose creative exploration began in childhood, did phenomenal projects using old toy scrap. Way back in 1979, the spirit of creativity and entrepreneurship enabled him to take the first step towards crafting metal items using nothing more than essential cutting tools and hammers, while each piece is extremely labor-intensive and time-consuming, as they are all cut and polished by hand. Today, they make metal art from mostly found and recycled metal, transforming everyday objects into detailed, sculptural artworks.

Mr. Khuzema persisted, working tirelessly, day after day, until the commercial markets advent of technology. His commissions include sculpture, architectural installations, furniture, and many artworks in several locations throughout India. The arc is quite appealing to the watching eye.

Taheri's under Mr. Khuzema has stood the test of time and has been through a remarkable adventure, and the journey of grandeur for them is just about starting.

A Memoir of Metal

From the depths of the ground
From underneath the Earth
Some found metal
Where some saw dirt
Labored through the day
To dig a pound of Zinc
Roughened limbs and more
Neglecting all the stink
Shiny little metal
They planned to call it copper
Goods were bought and sold
And man became a shopper
Imagine all the joy
When they came to know of a steel
A wonderful alloy
Like nature struck a deal
And then their eyes sparkled
When they caught a glimpse of silver
The riches multiplied
And humans had a shiver
And then the fable went
And so and so was told
when the man turned wise to wiser for a little bit of gold.

Significance of Our Logo

Strong as a stallion

No animal in the entire kingdom supersedes a Horse, a magnificent creature that is strong, sensible, and stylish. The horse is known to be a great friend, a reliable companion, and an intelligent animal.

Taheri's personality is akin to a horse. It is a reliable and precise brand, and much like horsepower, it is to become a standard of measurement for quality in metalwork.

Taheri's brand identity with this philosophy binds the horse with the brand, and its roundness indicates the all-around superior personality and quality that it has to offer.

Purple is the color of royalty. It conjures images of grandeur and mysticism. It activates the imagination and enthralls customers' eyes, looking for an experience that is a step away from the ordinary.
